Was wondering if anyone one here has tried this before, kind of like running away I suppose.
I’ve had this idea now for a while and honestly I’m really wanting to go through with it.
I’m 17, failing college, deeply depressed, I have no idea what I’m doing with my life any more and some days it’s a miracle I am even here the next morning. For a while now I have had this idea in my head to pack my bag and leave a note to my family basically saying “Don’t look for me, I will find you when I’m ready.” After leaving home my plan was to visit my aunt in London for a few days and crash there so that I still have very distant contact with my close family, after those few days are up I was going to roam around doing to the odd job here and there just for a bit of food and water then keep moving. I have enough money to last me close to six months without being given a single penny. I also know enough people that I will have some place to stay if it gets bad.
Was just wondering if anyone here has done this kind of thing before? If you don’t mind telling me how it went or any advice or how it effected your family, anything really. It would be nice to have to first hand experience before I go through with this next week.

I did that when I was 19 and never looked back. Totally worth it. I pretty much flunked out of college, hopped in a car with my boyfriend and got out of dodge. Moved to another city, changed my life totally. If you can, just do it.
I dropped out of college when I was 20 and then decided to run away from everything. I moved all the way cross country on my own and it was the best thing I ever did. It worked out perfectly. One of the best adventures of my life. I say do it. Before you do it try to save up some money and PLAN. You can use the internet to look up about areas you might want to move to. You can find out about places to live and jobs and all of that. Good luck.
I left home and stayed in the forest for a week and a half when I was 14. I had a tent, some Doritos and a bottle that purified water. The only thing is the forest is really scary at night, and I had recently started reading Creepypasta, so I had to go home once the batteries in my flashlight died. When I got back my parents were surprised to see me because they didn’t get a phone call, they thought I was at my friends house, and all they had to say to me after that was “go take a bath, you stink”. They still don’t know, but it’s kinda funny thinking about it.
I’ve always wanted to do that. Dash into the woods on my own, I mean.
A week and a half is really impressive, IMO. Especially with so little food and water. I’m glad you weren’t murdered by Slenderman or any of those other spookynoodles.
I haven’t actually left home; but I guess it could be said that I’m giving it alot of thought. In my case I have someone I can meet though. If the money is there, that is…
Looks to me that you are prepared, but I have never actually done it myself, so…
why not do it?
Its risky , and you don’t wanna become a burden to anyone because as long as you are not earning anything, you are a completely dependent person.
Think about your internet bill
Food
And lavish purchases and stuff like that.
Your money will run out sooner than you think when you’re alone and jobless.
ps
as long as youre not sure if u can get a room for yourself Or not, don’t do it , and you probably don’t wanna end up in the streets I guess
Hmm..Impossible to see the future is, dark side clouds everything.
It seems tempting to me but I don’t have anywhere to run. I hope your little adventure goes well. And you should think more about stuff. Like what if you aunt let’s you parents know about it and anything like that. Don’t rush
