i was accepted to Stanford.
everyone is happy.
So why not me?
pressure pressure pressure
I don’t want to go to medical school.
I don’t want to live other people’s expectations, dreams, morals.
So
i
left.
Heading towards Oregon and I’ve never felt so free.
Ive been suicidal my whole life.
All I wanted was freedom and it was waiting for me right outside my door this whole time.
I finally listened to my instincts and went against odds.
The only thing I want to say to people who are unhappy- is just to do what’s makes you happy on your our own means.
follow your instincts.
Im free
and so the adventure begins.

Thanks for sharing your story. I applaud you for doing what you really want to do inside.
I have been on some big adventures in life like that too and It always worked out for the best.
Good luck in your adventures.
I lived in Oregon for 4 years and loved it out there.
Some of the best times of my life were out there.
Good luck!!
Inspired. I got totally out of dodge when I was 18or 19 and I have never regretted or looked back. Stay safe.
Good luck!!!
I just read a US News & World Report article which ranked the toughest medical schools to get into. Stanford was #3 on the list.
7,197 students submitted an application to attend, and only 185 were accepted. That’s a 2.6% acceptance rate.
You’re an exceptionally fortunate individual, but I understand following your heart and blazing your own trail. Good luck.
happy for you! wishing you the best of luck and happiness
