The lighting is noticeably awful and I couldn’t get a good angle so it makes my shading and tones patchy when they’re not, but I finally finished working into this piece for college (there’s shadows over the drawing, but we’re pretending they’re not there now).
Everything’s getting worse slowly, so it didn’t turn it as well as it was supposed to, but I can live with it.
Originally I had typed up about my horrible day, but I decided against posting it. So instead, here. Have my awful quality photograph of my awful drawing.

As a fellow artist I just want to say that it is a great drawing. The shading on the left side of the face is a little off but could be smoothed out to make it look better. I really like the eyes! Those are very well done as well as the mouth and nose.
I’m sorry about your sucky day though. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
Thanks.
In the actual drawing it blends out, as does under and at the Sid dog the nose. But, of course, the kitchen lighting decided to hate me and brighten it all.
I have a mock interview tomorrow, it’ll be worse tomorrow. But oh well.

Autocorrect is horrible

Of*
I didn’t notice that either.
My phone just hates me apparently
Haha I totally understand about lighting.
Well maybe you can make the most of tomorrow. Like chill out and watch a movie with lots of popcorn or something after the mock interview.
Pencil drawings are the worst for taking photos of when the lighting isn’t the best.
I’m supposed to be in a double class tomorrow. So there’s more than double of my class joining our group. I’ll probably sit in a separate room until tutorial though, no one will notice I’m gone anyway.
Autocorrect is awful.
They really are. I haven’t done pencil recently though just because I’m tired of stressing about shading and smearing. So I’ve been doing ink lately and I like it alot more.
Tomorrow sounds like it’s not going to be enjoyable. And I’m sorry about that. But your idea sounds like a good one (it’s something I would do). Socializing isn’t pleasant
Haha autocorrect needs to not
“You saw that spark in his eye? I sure did.
That’s the spark of innocence, and achievement.
That child has found wonder in something as simple as rubber band.
He’s testing the waters, so to speak.
He’s ready to challenge the status quo. He wants to walk the walk and talk the talk.
That kid has nothing to worry about. His naivety and innocence keep him alive and smiling…”
~Words from a loving father.
Somehow, that’s what I got from that picture.. And yes, I just made this up..
🙂
You made me smile with this
It seems from an older person, as you say, seems like the words of a ayher but of an old one.
Tender
🙂
Damm you have a way with words
Damn*
Autocorrect sucks
Ummm, thanks. :$
Hey Jiminy,
I totally get what you say about your camera issues. I here when that happens, a lot of work is lost there because of the quality of the photo.
But I can tell you have your way with blending.
Nice work.
I keep following you
Every now and then I try to draw things… I really try.
I have all these great grandiose ideas I imagine capturing on paper.
But even when I try my very best, it still comes out awful.
YOU, on the other hand, do amazing work. 😮
It always looks incredible, even when you might not think so yourself.
I really have a lot of respect for artists who can draw things as well as this.
I can compose music, but I am terrible at two-dimensional art on paper.
Thanks for posting your work. 🙂
You are so good at composing music, Cordless. I do wish I had that kind of talent 🙂
This is amazing.
