Oh, fuck it, stop saying it gets better, just stop… it’s a bad joke.
I mean, why is it, that people genuinely don’t want me to die, “oh no, please don’t kill yourself, i mean, we’ll still hate you, you won’t accomplish anything, and even if you could, we won’t let you because we hate you, remember?”
It’s like they can smell it on me, how ‘pathetic’ and ‘retarded’ I am, fuck, even online, people seem to avoid me or stamp me out like the plague…
Really, they just don’t want to feel guilty for being a shit, and if they get a good laugh out of it, that’s great too.
Is there anyone out there who isn’t a shit? Trick question.
Even here, it seems people only care if you can magically get better, or snap and kill yourself, just as long as they don’t have to put some effort into anything that doesn’t pertain to themselves.
Don’t worry, I’ll try not to bother you by aspiring to anything or wanting love/friendship, I know I don’t deserve it, but the least you could do is just let me off the hook.
Be honest, do you ‘care’ because you think some sky-douche is watching you? Because you think it makes you look good? Because it will get you what you want? Because you like your idea of someone?
And if you do actually have a soul, is it just me? Am I not ‘pretty’ enough? Do I not have enough potential? Is it because I won’t kiss your ass? If it’s not just me, do you really think I’d believe you anymore?
Discuss? Shitpost? Ignore? Fake some sympathy? Delete this post, ban me, and call it a day? Do whatever you want.
Oh yeah, by the way… trigger warning 😛

You know, I’ve always thought about the hypocrisy of people. When you’re alive, they treat you like shit. But at funerals, if you’re young or die tragically, they say, “Oh what a waste, he had so much potential.” So much potential? Really? Then why do they treat us like shit bum losers while we’re alive?
I love The Doors. They’re my favorite rock band. Here’s the lyrics to “People Are Strange.”
People are strange when you’re a stranger
Faces look ugly when you’re alone
Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted
Streets are uneven when you’re down
When you’re strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you’re strange
No one remembers your name
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
People are strange when you’re a stranger
Faces look ugly when you’re alone
Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted
Streets are uneven when you’re down
When you’re strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you’re strange
No one remembers your name
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you’re strange
No one remembers your name
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
sickfromthemelt,
not disagreeing with your post but there are several reason why people say and do the things they do.
#1 suicide project is not a pro suicide site so expecting everyone hear to say go ahead and kill yourself is unlikely although that is maybe what you want to hear.
#2 everyone is here for different reasons, some because they don’t have anyone else to talk about the way they feel.
#3 People want to believe and do in hope, so they try to project that.
#4 suicide project is filled with negativity and positively and mood swings.
some very valid points in this post. i can tell you thought on this for a bit.
telling someone that it WILL get better is about as stupid and pointless as saying that ending your life is NEVER a solution to your problems. when i read that here, i confront it because i hate broad-brushed platitudes from do-gooders. the plain truth is that it doesn’t always get better, just as suicide sometimes really is a solution. nobody knows your situation the way you do and it’s human arrogance when others tell you to just think positively, as if that will magically turn things around. “crystal ball thinking” is unrealistic and unhelpful.
one of my personal favorites is when someone offers that taking a walk will improve a situation. that always earns a hearty eyeroll from me. did it not occur to someone that constant physical pain prevents enjoyment of even the simplest tasks? in cases like this, the old adage of “think before you speak” comes to mind.
