Hi, everyone.
I’m feeling better than yesterday.
Migraine is gone, at least for now.
I can sit up without getting dizzy, and I can open my eyes without feeling like I’m going to throw up a small continent.
In fact, today I felt well enough to get out and actually DO a few things.
Yay for things.
How are the rest of you doing?

That’d be some super fart if it moves him a couple of cms to his death, lol. Glad to read you’re feeling better. I did wanted to ask, you mentioned that you have a curvature on your spine that pinches some nerves and causes the migraines, is that an inwards curvature? because if it is… heck, i have the same thing in a lesser degree, lol (i do get migraines, but not at the level you do).
Other than that,… meh, productive day i guess, did some health insurance paperwork, now waiting to go grocery shopping, growing a beard too.
What I have is called “cervical kyphosis”.

Normal necks curve back in a slight “C” shape, but mine is more straight (like the pictures on that page). It’s been that way since childhood, possibly even since birth. Sometimes it’s a correctable thing, but mine has been this way for decades. I’m not ok with them doing surgery on it. Just because.
Wait… you’re growing a beard? đź
What kind?
Like the adorable kind Mike Mills started wearing in 1995,
or like the ZZ-Top creepy biker look?
The other thing I mention now and then is Equinovarus deformityâŠ
Here is a page about that (complete with awful pictures).
pediatric-orthopedics.com/Treatments/Feet/Equinovarus/equinovarus.html
My feet have slowly curved inward ever since I was born.
It wasnât so bad when I was younger, but it has steadily gotten worse.
Iâm not quite as bad as the person in the picture (yet).
The leg braces help a lot. They donât correct the condition but they straighten me out enough so that I can walk. They make me walk a bit like Frankenstein, but itâs a big improvement on how I walk without them.
I didnât get taken to doctors when I was younger, back when they could have corrected it with surgery. Part of thatâs because we couldnât afford doctors, and part is because the problem wasnât recognized for what it was. Nobody knew I was going to end up like this; they thought Iâd just âgrow out of itâ.
I remember when I told that story to the orthotics guy who custom-designed my braces, his jaw dropped. He couldnât believe it, since itâs a medical fact that nobody ever âgrows out ofâ an equinovarus deformity.
Oh then it’s not the same. I have a cervical vertebrae (or whatever you call them, lol) protruding to the inside, so it gently (sounds so nice doesn’t it?) pushes my spinal chord, causing migraines. Sometimes it pushes it more, sometime less, and the fact that i do have neck issues makes it a hustle at times, but yeah, the migraines that you get happen to me once in a few months. Seems to me like several folks here in sp could write a book on “we got unlucky at genetics”, hah.
As for the curved feet, i don’t know if it’s similar but i have inward curved knees. It’s not noticeable but damn it, does it hurt when i walk more than usual. Supposedly it’s not going to get worse but… yeah. not holding my breath on that one. It’s fun how things were different back in the day, i got the lines “heh, that’s going to hurt when you grow up” “hell you’ll grow out of it” and “nothing we can do so let’s see how it evolves” quite a lot when i was a child. Now i see the same conditions being treated right away and i think…. hey, isn’t life nice, lol.
It was just a regular beard, sort of like heidi’s grandpa beard, but i just shaved. For some reason i thought it would be fun if i could pull off the look of one of my favorite anime characters, realized i did, giggled, and then finished shaving it. No idea why but i woke up in such a weird mood today that i don’t even understand it, lol.
I had to Google “Heidi Grandfather Beard” to get an idea what that meant.
I got some pictures that look like the guy on the Gorton’s Fish Stick boxes, and a lot of social media stuff for somebody named “Heidi Beard”. LOL.
Usually I’m not much for beards, but I have to admit I loved the little chin-beard Mike Mills grew. He still has it today, even though it’s gray as heck (like the rest of him… poor guy).

(He’s the one at the far right, in the striped shirt).
How is this different from club feet? My son was born with club feet and they looked a lot like that, almost like monkey paws. We started treatment when he was 6 days old. He has normal looking feet now. However, if we did nothing he would have been crippled for life with little hope of ever walking normal.
OH FFS that IS club foot. I’m really tired, it has been so long since I even really thought about this I totally forgot that is the technical term for it. I look like a moron.
Please give me the home address for your parents so I can slap them across the face and hobble them with my finishing hammer, after that I will be stopping by any of the social services agencies where you grew up and slapping them too.
OMFG I am so sorry you are going through this. That is such a painful condition and it absolutely does not get batter. My son went through three months of consecutive castings culminating in having his achiles tendon cut and hyper extended then three years of boot and bar every night. Skipping any one of these steps can result in relapse…I can not imagine being an adult with this. The surgery to correct it at this point could put you in worse shape then the actual condition.
Exactly true. đ
Im glad to hear that you are feeling better and that you were able to get out and do some things. Thanks for posting the pic. that is funny.
Ive been doing good. Only I have been extremely tired today. Ive been sleeping most of the day. ow its 6 PM where I am and most of the day is gone. LOL. but I will probably just have diner and stay in and watch a movie. Its nice to see you posting. Cool beans!!
The sun hasn’t set here yet, but it probably will soon.
I have to remember to set my clock back this weekend.
Have a nice dinner/movie. đ
Well that’d be one hell of a way to die. Just think of all the talk. How did so-and-so die? Oh, he farted, which caused him to slipped off a giant rock and he fell to his death? hm… The writing on this tombstone? Died by fart?
Have you heard of the Darwin Awards?
I have!
“Died by surprise fart” should make the list LOL
And here I thought those were more likely to kill friends and loved ones.
flatchdecent
Flatchdecent?
headline for farting and falling off a rock to your death
Like a combination between flatulence and descent?
yes
Might the tumour in your head be causing some of the migraines and dizziness? And your inability to sleep? Though… a messed up neck will cause all that too. But maybe the tumour contributes to it?
Sometimes I wonder about that.
***sniff sniff***
Hi!
(*sniff sniff*)
Do you have any other tumours elsewhere?
Yes.
I have a bone tumor in my left knee called an “enchondroma”.
are they doing anything about that one?
Nope!
Not a thing.

Glad you are back among the living. Well some of the folks here wish they werent but you know.
For today, I don’t mind being among the living.
Ask me again in another week or two, and maybe I’ll have a totally different answer.
If you see me sitting on the edge of a cliff eating a cold can of baked beans, start worrying.
