Seems many of us struggle with getting help, Whether it be your family, friends, medical, etc. Our feelings can be dismissed or blown out of proportion but never helpful.
So it comes to my mind if there were a suicide awareness group – there’s probably many ive never heard of – but a good one to express your wishes, what do you think the message should be?
I for one hate the uber positive crap thrown in my face kuz, “this will cheer you up.” Or,”if you want to be happy you should listen to happier music. Not that stuff you’re into. And,” you just need to *fill in the blank*
What do you think might help the general population to know? I think of the most extreme group like this as the breast cancer awareness

People should know the feeling is always there… Even if something “cheers you up”. It’s below the surface all the time.
People should also know that they most likely know someone who is suffering silently. That it’s more common than most realize.
I hear that. I don’t know what the answer may be, my negative feelings are so internalized, my failures, my own let downs. You can’t fix this, I would need to. And I DONT want you to handle me with kid gloves
I personally, feel better when I find people who feel the same. Not being alone in the struggle, someone who understands. For me that’s enough, and I be9its a good first step
Yeah I also hate the “things get better” broken record.
The 99 percent really have no idea what is eating us up inside. My therapist told me there are depression group therapy meetings in my area. Nah, I will stick with my therapist.
