Those of you who were here last year might remember Β that one of my bucket list items was to learn how to use a smartphone.
I’d gotten the tiniest cheapest one. And I learned how to do SP posts on it.
Aaaand the easier it got, the more I liked it. A lot.
Enough to decide I wanted a better phone.
Bought a new one last week.
Samsung Galaxy Sky J3.
16GB, plus I added a 32GB SD card.
I love it!
The old one feels like a cheap little toy in comparison.
It’s nice to feel happy about something. Β π

I’m happy that you found something you like.
Someone you may know.
I hope you’re who I hope you are.
π
Is the middle letter of your last name the same as the first letter of your middle name?
hey grats on your new phone ^_^ new phones are nice xD
I recently got a new phone too, Which yeah was a bit expensive, but my old phone was going on 6 years of age, and I use my devices daily, so it’ll be worth it….
I do hope that you like your new phone, well I assume you do…. New devices are always a lot of fun, and enjoyable….
Also I am very happy to see you here, I have been absent for a pre long time…. and am now crawling back -which isn’t really the best thing honestly- but hey I’m back…. And of course I always kind of wonder/worry about people on here that I recognize the names of…. And I’m glad to see that you’re still around ^_^
I’m definitely still around.
Some days it feels like I’m shredded and scattered in pieces, but hey.
Good to see you too. π
Glad you found something to be happy about!
It’s a nice distraction from the perils and angst of life in general.
Whoo!
You should have gotten an Apple so you could harass Siri when you’re bored.
I’ll just make up imaginary people to harass.
Although if you have a newer phone with the updated “hey google” interface, you can say “Ok, Google, make me a sandwich!”
And…
My tablet replies “What?! Make it yourself!”
I just tried it on the new phone, and it replied “Poof, you’re a sandwich!”
If you tell Siri you’re sad, she’ll tell you it’s OK to cry because her aluminosilicate glass surface is tear-proof. Phone AI’s are all jerks, imo.
Grats on the phone, and the distraction and smiles it brought to you.
Yay for distraction!
haha that is really nice!
It is indeed!
I’m so happy for you, Cordless! Glad to see you’ve reached another goal! π
In a way I reached it twice, since this is my 2nd smartphone. (!)
Keep up or get left behind.
My dad used to say “it’s not about how smart you are, it’s about your ability to learn”. He was right. The world is constantly changing and you have to adapt if you wanna stay current. “Adapt, improvise & overcome” is the motto for some of the special forces units. (I rarely get the opportunity to incorporate ampersands into everyday conversation. The & symbol doesn’t translate well in everyday speech).
Whatevs.
Glad you’re? vibing on the new mobile communication device.
I am vibing & sort-of-coping & technologically sedated.
Ampersands are fun.
Samsung makes nice phones. I’ve had a Samsung Galaxy S7 for a year now. I used it outside in the rain, dropped it on the pavement, accidentally left it unattended in a bar… and it still works great. π Praise be to the Koreans for their technological marvels. (Their Samsung TVs aren’t the best though. Netflix wasn’t working on mine when I had one.)
I have a Samsung phone AND tablet.
I love both!
