So.
I’m grounded for a few days (it’s 1:19AM everyone’s asleep except my grandpa and he dgaf if I’m awake).
I spent too much time in my room and was “on electronics too much”
I spent time in my room because I had a nervous breakdown and was under a pile of stuffed animals texting my friend, shaking and crying about how much of a failure I was, trying to enjoy my favorite playlist of Green Day, Imagine Dragons, Panic! At The Disco, Twenty-One Pilots, My Chemical Romance, and Hamilton.
But no one knew until I screwed up my courage and screamed the hell out of my dad.
I think I may have scared him.
I don’t think he realized how broken I am. I think he thought the edges smoothed over, but I’m still a shard of glass, jagged and sharp, fragile, easily broken.
I’m pretty sure he cut my punishment from like a week to two days to one day but still.
I may be made of glass, but I’d just as soon prefer to be a boulder. Unmovable, unbreakable.

So you got grounded because of a breakdown?? That sucks, but it may be that you confused him more than scared him.
Maybe you could try and tell him how you felt when it happened. i mean, if a parent sees you broken and depressed and GROUNDS you for it knowing how you feel, well, then he just sucks at being a parent and it’s his fault that you ended up like that.
So you either find his caring side or ditch him and find someone else who cares about you.

He understood…
I went over my “electronics limit” of 2 hours though, that might be why.
He let me sleep for a while though.
He took away my phone, but I don’t mind being grounded I’ll just read, I just need my phone for my playlist that has all my favorite songs.
The bands/artists I mentioned above, their music helps calm me down. IDK why.

Hahaha the 2 hours for electronics phase, i remember that. it usually ends when they realize one could be doing drugs or hanging out with thugs instead of looking at the screen.
Hilariously enough my parents didn’t even try it with my little brother, i guess they like the on-the-screen-never-talk-unless-talked-to kind of son heh.
I luv patd! And Mcr I think we gonna be bffs
