No, because everyone alive right now has had moments where they hate their life, feel stressed, and want to give up. Most don’t give up and keep going even if they’re not happy with their circumstances.
We are definitely the problem. Life is for people, animals and organisms that want to live. They are struggling like hell to maintain life. And here we are wishing for a damn meteor to hit the planet or something. It’s very very clear who the problem is.
HA! One of my favorite comedians on twitter apologized for not being on there much. I said something like “What is there to come here for? We’re literally tweeting through the end times.”
Then some troll was like “All the opportunity that’s out here and you think it’s the end of the world?” Then of course they included some stupid GIF of someone laughing.
Just made me think about the way our brain works. You’re right, we’re waiting for the end, but every one else is still carrying on. I turn on the TV and people are still acting on different shows/movies, still partying, still making money. Living.
So I don’t know anymore. I’m trying to hold onto the little good I have. My Venus flytraps, my boyfriend, my family. There’s a lot to be thankful for even for us doom and gloom types. You just have to remember to be grateful. I’m trying on a daily basis not to spread this misery like a plague at least.
Many people are getting a taste of the depression we feel and that’s only because the world is really screwed up right now. Riots, chaos and the President. I really don’t think I was wrong about saying it’s the end times, but we can’t expect to live if we keep focusing on the end and not pushing forward.

They are very different people. I wonder what it’s like to live that way…
Can’t say I haven’t thought this same thing before. Just saying your not alone.
As one of those sad people you’re specifically describing – I’d be happy to contribute to a happy world by removing myself off this planet.
(This isn’t sarcasm. I’m being dreadfully serious.)
I am working on it! Let them have this world then, I say.
But does sad mean that we are bad? I don’t see how this world being a place full of ignorant optimists would make things better…. ? Hmm…
