How some people claim to understand, to care, to ‘know how you feel’, to be there for you, to have supposed ‘experience’ in ‘these matters’,
Then say and do things that suggest the complete opposite?
I’m sick of the misguided advice, the mishandling of someone who’s in crisis, the insensitive and careless comments that imply that how we think, feel, and therefore behave are a choice or ‘behavioral issues’ instead of a real illness that needs to be handled with understanding and compassion…
Don’t they realize they’re making us worse?
(I’m probably not making sense…)

It’s super frustrating when people don’t fully understand mental health issues or are just plain ignorant about them,
All those lines people who claim they care about you might say, assuming they understand based on their own experience of life, forgetting they aren’t you, and don’t suffer what you have to.
I can understand your frustration.
Or when they barely say a thing after giving you enough reason to believe they deal with issues too and care about helping.
I guess huh Octr?
