nothing wrong with you it’s just, well people have different tastes and this life this is maybe just not something i’d be interested in at this point in time.
sorry i know you all have your plans and to some extent you’d like to include me in them, but i haven’t quite made my decision yet but will keep you in touch.

What’s the other option? A dead person does not have awareness, and in fact is not in any way we recognize a human. They are an ex human… ceased to be and so on.
I mean, if we can shop around for a better time to live, I’ll get on board for that. Right now is pretty dissappointing. So what’s the alternative? Every choice has to be between two equally weighted options. There’s a lot of persuasive arguments against living, but they aren’t for anything else….
Just logically, there’s no place to go. It’s like being fed up with living on this planet, where would be preferable? No rockets are currently set with other planets as destinations, so the options are to make the current planet sufficient or to cease to be. Ceasing to be doesn’t actually solve, it just expresses the unsuitability of current options.
You’ve somewhat missed the satire of the post viking: that’s just it — there isn’t anywhere else to go. I’ll die and everything that is now won’t be; nevertheless it doesn’t matter. That’s just how pointless it all is. The most significant of choices is reduced to the most dumb, mundane desire.
I keep asking myself the same thing.
