Maybe life would be better if i just gave in. if i stopped fighting my depression maybe i can be at peace. its like when you get stranded at sea. you dont swim against the waves. you wont get anywhere and eventually drown. maybe if i swim with the waves of depression i can keep my head above water.

Hi Hope Dream Love, Yep you are right, I did that! By accepting I have depression and looking at it as this is my normal, I could ignore it oh well that’s me! It didn’t cure it but it made easier to live with. It took a long time to figure that out, your pretty sharp to come up with that at 20, I almost forgot that’s one of the thing’s I did! You can do other things to help get rid of it, but that’s a great way to deal with it.
my mood is all over the place. i have a mood disorder or something, idk. and dealing with it and having other people deal with it is hell and i hate that other people deal with me. they shouldnt have to. i hate going from happy to crying or screaming. i want it to stop, but i know it wont. i just dont see a better way to deal with it.
It is a step in the right direction, I have severe nerve damage from an accident, sends feelings to my feet and everywhere really simulates the feelings of standing on a cliff looking down, for years I thought what the hell? Am I going crazy? I went to the doctor got pills to deal with depression, they couldn’t figure it out either, then while getting a MRI on my back I put 2 and 2 together, i figured out it was the nerve damage and did exactly what you are talking about, this is my new normal now and accepted it, now it doesn’t bother me even one tenth as much, So I also applied the same thing to my depression later on, it made it easier to deal with, but you never stop thinking about how to make your depression better, for me it’s comedy, doing things I enjoy like cooking, when ever your doing some thing you enjoy it helps things you have control over.
i have a lot of things i enjoy but finding the time or energy to do them is almost impossible when i work during the night and sleep during the day.
Yep that makes it hard, I’ll be honest with you which I shouldn’t, I HATED WORKING!!! HATED IT!!! I can’t pump sunshine on that one, but you have a plan! The bakery! Work on that and it will happen sooner or later, that’s your golden ticket!
i dont mind work i hate the hours.
Well that’s good! I was working 6 day’s 12 during the week 10 on sat, in a high pressure job, I did great but it was killing me! are you talking about working nights? I did that for 2 years when I was young, it does make you feel your missing out, I got a routine going the best I could and eventually got back on days. To bad we have to do things to survive.
I can’t have a routine. My day completely depends on a truck coming in from another city that can show up anywhere between 1am and 5am
That stinks, I’m not going to make you feel better but yeah I did a lot of that kind of stuff when I was younger, thing’s will get better, you will sit back and think about what you had to do in a while, it doesn’t stay like that. I remember my first apartment, I had a 10″ black and white TV with a coat hanger for an antenna, the picture just kept rolling! What a life!
actually you did make me feel a little better lol. i just keep looking forward when i can. this move is suppose to be the first step to my bakery. i hope it works out.
It will and you might be surprised it may work out even better than you hoped for!
i just want a little store front. filled with happy people. oh and the sweet smell of baked goods obviously lol
Your not going to believe this but I was a baker! yeah a donuts baker, I use to fill 2 displays one in the front window one in the shop, and a tree in the middle of the shop, i worked nights had everything ready by 5am, I liked making donuts. Mixing, rolling, cake, raised, frying, topping, cinnamon rolls , butter fly’s, apple fritters, long johns, glazed, everything. I think I gained 40 lbs working there! Good memory seeing the same faces everyday. police hang around of course! Never robbed.
Some Asian people bought the place then their family worked there, the mother use to watch me and feel the dough and say TO THICK NO PROFIT! And that was the beginning of the end, I quit soon after.
yeah although profit is good thats not all its about. happy customers is what i want
Hey I don’t know if you already done this but until you open the bakery, you could work on what exactly you going to make, and figure the cost to make the stuff.
ive been practicing my baking skills. my sugar cookies are addictive. honest to god i wasnt the one that said it although i agree 😛
Yep it’s best to have all your ducks in a row, grand openings need to be the best! Also it is important to know profit margins, you will be very busy opening the place, so you want to be ahead of the game.
i wish i could find a life like baking game. or a budging game or something. it would help.
That is a very good idea, really it’s a must! I’m old school, i’d look on the internet for info as well.
I’d start with what kind of shop and start putting together figures, everything subject to change as I go.
example
What’s the building going to cost?
i’d research rental spaces in the area, let’s say most places are 1$ a square ft, what I want is 1000 SQ FT.
RENT $1000
Do i want an employee? lets say I do part time 20 hrs a week, @ 10..00 hr = $800
Now i’m up to $1800 in overhead.
I’d do that with everything and get an idea what it would cost to run a place.
Let’s say it’s $2500 a month and lets say my profit margin is 50%
I’d have to sell $5000 a month to break even, sales would have to be $161 a day.
This is a very basic example but you would be very far ahead of the game knowing everything before you got started. Your the owner you have to think that way, I know you do, but I want you to do this! get your bakery! This could take time to figure out. You want to be ready.
idk who taught you about owning a business but 50% profit margin is funny. id be lucky to see that in 10 years let alone when i first open. i need to make a name for myself before that happens. and what about ingredients and electricity? how am i suppose to know how much of those im going to use at first?
Ball park figures, remember nothing goes according to plan as well, depends on the business. The 50% is just a made up figure you would come up with the actual after doing research.
I like in and out burgers great business! only have a few different burgers, they know exactly what they cost to make! Pretty simple to figure out.
I’d research what a bag of flour cost whole sale for example, get estimates on bulk purchases, example sugar cookie took so much flour to make , you would divide the weight of the cookie to your bag of flour cost, it might be 1 cent? you do that with all ingredients, or another way is in a batch of cookies, the batch cost $10 and made 400 cookies that’s 2 1/2 cent for each cookie, selling at 10 cents a cookie that would be 7 1/2 cent profit on each one.
electricity is harder, where i live I asked around hey whats your bill a month? I heard from $100 to $300 from different neighbors, so I said mine will probably be at least $200, last month it was $180.
Research is fun when you have the time. Remember if you want that business you need to do it.
The more you know the better! Even talking to people about loans and stuff, they want to know your plan.
im not doing the loan thing. im paying for it all out of my own pocket no middle man
That is great! That is the best! 🙂
