I am a logic-based person, so things like “curses” aren’t a real thing- except in this world it seems like some people really are cursed. I, for one.
I mean, logically, it’s bc ppl who are down-trodden get even more stepped on and ignored and screwed in life. The more bad that’s happened to you, the more bad that gets piled on, and the less “normal” ppl want to help you out or want anything to do with you (be friends, etc).

I don’t know. Maybe. It can seem that way sometimes.
There’s solid healthcare data that the more trauma the worse outcomes, and we’re not just talking direct. We also have that data for childhood major life events, it’s called ACES, and it’s supposed to be changing how we handle mental health.
So I believe in systemics, but apparently there aren’t enough funds to educate the public on the systemics that we already paid for. There aren’t even the funds to stop screwing the people that the ACES data shows we have been for the last 50 years.
I curse those who hold take accountability for this lousy system. They’re the cursed ones, they don’t care that they hurt people. Or, they don’t care enough.
To say the victims are cursed though….. I wouldn’t unless it was to help them escape. They’re already scapegoated, gaslit and retraumatized, to have that powerlessness enhanced is just extra cruelty for no reason.
The focus for me is always on that I want it to be enough, I want to see justice. If not justice then freedom from the crap system that failed them.
It’s a dark and gloomy world where the only systemics are in helping people defeat systems. The entirety of humanity is stuck under the curse of violent, greedy and careless people.
With people like this, who needs demons?
that’s what i mean- ppl who have had shit happened to them in their childhood are “cursed”- meaning by adulthood, all those issues compound, despite the person trying to do their best in life. those with childhood traumas are screwed. there is very little escape- only a lucky few escape it. the rest either “manage” or become severely depressed/screwed up/have constant issues in their lives.
