Wouldn’t it be nice if the world ends??
I’ve pretty much given up on suicide for the moment. I can’t put my family through it. I just dread the day when I’m too much for them to look after, because I can’t support myself.
The end of the world would be nice. At least it’s something I could get involved with. Oh well, wishful thinking.
I’m one of those people who can’t face the world. I can’t face people. I can just about talk to people online, unless they start to get to know me, which is when I usually back away because I can’t commit myself to the normal interactions that relationships need.
I spend every day wondering how to bring meaning to my life. Eventually I realise that what I’m doing is pointless. Unless I get out of this rut, my life will always be empty.
But if I do get out of this rut, I will just want to get back into it again because life is too much to handle. I can’t handle people or stress. Not to mention the bouts of WTF that my mental health brings.
I’m so tired of being on this planet

@beenbetter81 Ha! What if I told you that the world will end! Hmmm? 🙂 I’m sorry that you feel like you can’t handle stress or people… I guess many feel just like you… given that the times we live in are only getting worse… But the Bible talks about an end to this world… that Jehovah God will intervene and bring about a new world where we won’t have the problems we have now… Stress, disease, death. What do you think of such a promise? Would you like to see it come true? 🙂
I’m just curious as to how it ends, I just want to know how they mess it all up. Witnessing the end of the world would be quite memorable. I don’t think I’d forget that.
@Sublimity Well… we can not know how God will actually bring the end of this world… But we should do all that stays in our power to get to survive the end of this system of things. So as to be able to… remember it. Don’t you think, Sublimity? 😀
There are various scopes to an “end of the world.” Extinction of the human species, mass extinction, global extinction of life on Earth then a vaporized Earth falling into the sun.
Other subspecies of humans like the Neandrathals lasted 250k years. Modern humans have been around for about 100k years. So maybe we have ~100k left as a species. There is a mass %90 die off coming this century after human population peaks in this decade at almost 8 billion people. But there would still be hundreds of millions of people, which is closer to normal for our numbers and hardly an extinction.
Mass extinctions of species have been coming every 100 million years. In about a billion years the sun will be 20x as bright and there won’t be liquid water or an atmospher on Earth, so the planet will bake at over 850 degrees completely lifeless.
Then the sun will expand past Earth orbit in 4 billion years, va
I had my fingers crossed durning asteroid week. I prayed to God that a golf ball sized asteroid would please hit me. No dice ah well, but there’s always tomorrow.
Looking at the facts around us I d say you don’t have to wait to wait for the end to come. There are the lurking dangerous on Earth (dictators, fanatics)and there are the lurking dangerous above(asteroids and stuff).
God is out of the picture. When the time comes the Earth will be a derelict place not able to sustain life anymore. There are derelict places right now. (deserts, glacial zones, radiated zones). In the past, at some point humanity came down to just 1000 individuals. Somehow they succeeded to go on.
I think the humanity cycling periods has changed very much. So we might not have 100k years to last now. It could be radically lesser than that.
Species vanish every day!
