I have been cutting the 8th grade which was 6 years ago. I have been hospitalized twice for trying to kill myself. Thanks to a friend, I haven’t cut myself since October 25th. Some other things I found helpful was “the butterfly project” and a crisis text line. The butterfly project can be found on tumblr and facebook. The crisis text line was really helpful though. The number is 741-741 (I have it saved in my phone as CrysTaL that way people who look at my contacts wont know)

Here in the US, the Suicide Prevention Hotline is 1-800-273-TALK (8255). I have it memorized and I’ve shared it countless times. There is an option for veterans to connect with someone who might understand their background and challenges.
I’ve heard a lot about the Butterfly Project. It’s good that you’re participating in that. A few people on SP have found it helpful, too.
I’m glad you haven’t cut in a couple of months… and I hope that streak continues. One day at a time.
a crisis TEXT line, it’s the best idea so far. not everyone is able to call when they fell broke. I wish I could create this in my country.
And Butterfly Project seems really good for people. I’m glad that you’re sharing this with us and hope it’ll help you to stay strong.
