So I know some of you saw my earlier post… It was a negative little bugger, wasn’t it? I’m sorry for posting it. So, instead of being a Debbie Downer (heh), I want to impart something positive for the day. I know many, many people who dislike far, far too many things about themselves, whether they be mental or physical (myself included). So, I challenge those of you who have insecurities created by some jackass who told you that you weren’t good enough, etc., or insecurities created by some sort of self-loathing to look in the mirror and say something you love about yourself. Wether it be “I love the shape of my eyes” or “I like the way I complimented this girl” or “Dang, I look bloody good in these jeans.” You all deserve to love yourselves… so do it! Good luck my loves 🙂

‘a negative little bugger’, hahaha
Don’t say sorry for posting it though. You should be able to share anything. It helps us get to know you and gives me an excuse to shower you with compliments. 😉
It’s funny you said this, because lately I’ve been much happier looking in the mirror. Because I’ve felt just a little bit better, and even though all I’m seeing when I look in a mirror is a human body, it feels like I’m looking at the shadow of my soul.
You posted negative stuff on a suicide site? how dare you! nobody should ever do that! only unicorns and rainbow should be allowed here, since life is the most beautiful gift that you can get! no matter what you…. yeah, i can’t keep writing that with a straight face, lol.
The thing i love the most about myself? i’m going to cheat here and write two, since i’m feeling a lot different lately, so there’s a pre-me-now, and a me-now.
Pre-me-now: i was able to beat biological odds and become something i wasn’t supposed to be able to (singer), sure, biology got to me eventually, but not before i had what i consider a good run (15 years), no fame nor glory but i was able to do better than healthy people.
Me-now: i’m becoming a cheeky bastard. The kind of guy that would call you out on stuff to your face, not just on the internet. Sure, i think things through first, but if something needs to be said or done, i’ll do it. Life is too long to be dwelling in regrets constantly and to short to waste it by not doing what you want.
And i do love your post, kudos to you for creating such great posts 🙂
Bwahahah that was fantastic! You forgot about the faries and Pegasus tho lol. And I’m glad you are becoming, “a cheeky bastard” lol. I would say you are just coming into you own 🙂
I’m saving fairies and pegasus (particularly pegasus…) for the anime references, lol. I do feel that you’re kind of right. I mean, it’s not like i’m magically cured and all my troubles and depression went away, but i’m sort of kinda… feeling like a mixture of what i really am and what my illnesses have created, which is not perfect, but it’s a lot better than just being a reflection of my issues. Guess acceptance goes a long way, even if it doesn’t solve everything. You didn’t mention what you love about yourself tho, so you’re kinda cheating on your own post, lol.
And another piece of loveliness brought to us by TaDB 🙂 You were honest in what you felt- that’s never a thing to apologize for. Besides, this is the SP after all, we’re not all smiles and sunshine you know. (what a strange creature THAT would be)
Trix-can I keep that one? “even though all I’m seeing…” seriously that was wow.
Recent studies show using the third person is slightly more effective. For example:
“Captain America loves the shape of his eyes”
“HULK COMPLIMENT GIRL LIKE”
“Dang, Thor looks bloody good in those jeans.”
You forgot:
“Ironman knows he’s an alcoholic but he’s ok with it, since the actor that plays him was one too”
“Loki wonders why he’s such a girl-magnet even if he fails at everything” (really, i’m wondering if he ever posts on sp saying he’s frustrated at being the neglected kid, lol)
“Black Widow knows she’s just candy-filler, but she’s fine with getting millions for using a tight suit and delivering bland, monotone lines” (does she ever do… anything?)
“Hawkeye … ” …
… does he have any freaking use? at least Black Widow has good looks, lol.
It funny when you realize that Tonk Stark is real and that Robert Downey Jr is his secret identity. 😛
What you don’t know is that both are Charlie Chaplin’s secret identity!
DUM DUM DUMMMM
Tony Stark is a murdering psychopath whos created literally every villian hes faced (except Loki) i mean really think about it is iron man actually a hero? Even in the comics hes done some crazy shit. Sorry to jump in lol
I’ve had the argument before that Ironman isn’t really a superhero (but I barely know comics, so I don’t much know what i’m talking about)
Even going off the movies is enough. He *spoiler alert* created ultron created the titanium man armor in the first movie. Hes an unecesssary douche to the villain in the 3rd. In the comics hes part of marvels illluminati and they do some fucked up things (blowing up a planet or 2)
Yeah, i pretty much agree with that. It’s funny to me how comic book movie fans that don’t read the comics perceive some of those characters, i feel like telling them that Tony Stark is a raving alcoholic/egomaniac that has broken pretty much everything he’s ever had contact with. I do like the character that RBJ plays (he’s pretty much playing his former self tho, minus the suit), but if you go by the comics, it’s a biiiiig stretch.
My guess is that if you were to confront a comic book movie fan with “the truth” it would either be like watching a kid being told that santa isn’t real, or just a complete denial and “you don’t know shit” scenario. Either one sounds like fun to me haha.
