so this is a strange request but…well,
my question mainly is how do u find out if a non citizen of a country has died in a country not of their birth . oh im talking about america by the way.
for example if someone went to the states for surgery and then died in hospital, as a private patient of that hospital. how could i find out what happened to them. (from australia ).
any suggestions would help.

In the US, patient privacy laws remain in effect for fifty years following death:
hhs.gov/hipaa/for-professionals/privacy/guidance/health-information-of-deceased-individuals/
Your best bet might be to look for an obituary or social media post created by a family member or friend. If you know which hospital they went to, checking Google for reports of deaths at that hospital might give some information. Even if the report doesn’t contain a name, it might have enough information to connect a dot or two.
thanks for the advice. will keep trying
