Hiya I am a 21year old and since I was about 12 all I have felt is despair and hopelessness. I can’t remember the last time I was happy. I attempted to jump off a bridge last night but just my luck the police turned up. I feel useless I can’t even kill myself properly. They took me to the mental hospital but they didn’t even speak to me just told the police to take me home. So looks like I was right all along I can’t be helped otherwise they would help me right? So it looks like my only option is suicide at least then all this pain will go away

You are a strong person. If you have attempted suicide, you have such a strong will. Imagine if we could turn your will into something positive. this is kind of depressing….but what if the pain doesnt go away until you’ve worked thought it on earth? When you die and leave loose ends, what if you just end up in a place just as miserable as earth? well, good luck anyway…
Regardless of what people tell you, you are going no place when you die. You will not be going to a better place or worse place. You will just be dead. there is no shade of grey or after life..dead is dead, period. No heaven and no hell.
If you do not want this end, this nonexistence, then postpone your plans for just a little while as you make one final effort to find some joy in life.
If you cant find any happiness in your life, ask the people on this list what they do to take their mind off their problems.
For me, movies work for an hour and a half at a time but occasionally I do find my self obsessing about my problems while watching a comedy. If I become aware I am doing that, I give myself a light slap in the face and go back to concentrating on the movie. You will find no happiness after you die.
Happiness is only available here on earth while you are alive. Live a little before you die a lot.
