Coming from a religion heavy city and family abortion is not a choice for them.

And very few of them believe in adoption because they feel like if a person has a child that person should have no option at all but to raise the child despite the circumstances. Their philosophy is “God will provide.”

Seems like reality in some cases is a bit different. On sites like this and in RL there are so many children who are neglected and abused by their parents.  Which of course does not doom them but does give them a more difficult start than children without that problem.

To the point that the child’s whole psyche is damaged and may not be able to ever fully grasp interpersonal relations that most people crave. Along with a whole host of other issues.

It would be wrong to restrict people’s choice to bear children based on the circumstances of their lives.  But it would be prudent if people who are drug addicts, who are satisfied living off of charity/welfare, who are constantly in and out of prison, who lack the emotional maturity to even care for themselves and other detrimental things think before they choose to bring a child into this world.

Honestly it is sad to see all these kids and teenagers wanting to end their lives before they have actually lived.  Because they lack a support structure.  Instead of being children and enjoying growing up, many of them have to be the adults of their family.  Or have to deal with all their problems alone or with help from someone outside whose care is not the same as a parents’ would be.
