So i’m seeing my GP tomorrow and will ask his opinion on it too.. but i was curious if anyone has felt this before.I’m taking Saroquel for sleep and to calm my anxiety. I started out with one a night and then they upped me to two and now three (75mg). It knocks me out like no other.. but then i only sleep for 2-5 hours, then i wake up. I’m wide awake for an hour or so and then get really sleepy again. I can’t sleep in at all, ever now and i’m always so exhausted. It’s almost like all i do is take power naps. It really sucks. Any suggestions or thoughts? I’m beginning to think this isn’t the drug for me.

I was on 400 mg a night. Seroquel severely messes with your sleep. Eventually it will barely make you sleepy, and take an hour or so to kick in. But you get used to it. Try taking melatonin as well?
Either you don’t need a high dose, or you’ve just started, since you’re only at 75mg. So if you just started, wait for your body to adjust check out other medicines/herbs or some activity that can help you sleep.
Warning: If you do get off it, that will also mess up your sleep among other things( like mental issues ). Takes a bit to get back to normal.
No big deal if it isn’t right, though see how it helps your anxiety. If no luck or the sleep problems are too much of an issue, tell them that and request a change of medicine.
Yeah.. i might try melatonin. I’ve tried it before i was on any other medications and it would make me fall asleep but never keep me asleep. But maybe it’ll be different with my zoloft and seroquel.
I’m trying to change my lifestyle a bit too, so fingers crossed it works.
