is my mothers birthday and the anniversary of my fathers death. I haven’t said happy birthday to my mother in 7 years. It is not a joyous day, so I don’t think there is any point in saying it. It makes me feel horrible but I literally can’t find it in me to say it. And Mother’s Day is not too far behind. Worst daughter of the year.

Oh, I doubt you’re the worst daughter of the year. In fact, I doubt that very much.
I agree. And I could tell you a story to prove you’re not the worst…but that is my story, not yours (I’m the Mom in the story).
I’m a Mom so I can tell you this: If you told your Mother you hated her every day for a century, she would forget it all the moment you told her differently.
