I used to love the night because I could just sleep and forget everything for a while. But now, the silence and the insomnia, it forces me to focus on things I’m trying to forget. Sometimes  I try and figure out how my life spiralled into such a mess.

Life can be such a Dick. Maybe some music could help cure the silence ?
Reading could also help if you’re able to concentrate somewhat. Reading something that is not triggering and won’t remind you of things, until you’re eventually too physically sleepy to do so.
I miss sleeping pills.
I’ve always been a night-owl/insomniac, and for me the best thing is reading. It’s a great escape ad like Fancy said, eventually you get tired.
Music is good for me sometimes, but it tends to make me start thinking too much, and sometimes that’s the last thing I want.
And of course video games, but sometimes that keeps me awake even more…..
