I’ve been stolen
And I know I can’t be found
To which these eyes can’t understand
Life’s been destroyed
And am I now
Without regards to who I’ve been
Treasured times have taken me
Far beyond the whispered willow tree
Ideologies
And simple needs that burden me
Will rest here in this place
Where was I going
I never figured out
I couldn’t wait
I want it now
That’s my testimony
It’s all I had to show for myself
Cause I’ve been stolen
And can’t be found
To which these arms keep reaching out
Can’t fill a void when all is lost and alone
But I keep trying
I might have to leave my life
And my family behind
But I keep trying till finally my time will arrive
Ill set down on a better plane
Across an open field of dreams
And the only regret will be the effort I spent trying to make myself believe in nothing. Yeah!
That nothing would come..
That nothing would come of it
Yeah!
Promise to be ok, again

Btw: these are songs, rather than poems. If it seems like things dont make sense or rhyme it’s because certain words are carried in cords in a melody with timing. Generally i write a lot of ballads
Great song/poem RealTalk! *clap clap clap*
Oh, and: *Okay.
Thanks!
What’s the intended melody? Think i’ve caught on, but not quite sure.
Good question!
I’ve been listening to a lot of Temple of the dog lately and right before I wrote this I was listening to Pearl Jam’s “Garden” so obviously it’s kinda similar.
I need a new playlist! lol
Each line seems short cuz the words carry, there would be some various repetitions I haven’t written in here, and the bridge starts at (edit). Kinda rock/soul/bluesy..obviously
Ah, I do see the resemblance. I was hearing a different song when I first read it, but I can’t think of the name of it for the life of me, tsk tsk. And yeah some of those lines were catching me a little of guard, but I still find it very appealing.
Edit: sorry the bridge starts at “but I keep trying”
