That sharp stab of betrayal. From someone you thought that knew how to differ from right and wrong and what was good and evil. Now you don’t know who to trust anymore. It’s painful. It hurts. Ouch.
Always trust yourself and be strong for yourself! The ones who betrayed you have showed their true sides so be glad you found that out now, so you dont need to keep them around.
I know all about betrayal and the evil inherent in people…I’ve met far too many of them. As for trust, for a particular group of people I’m more than happy not to trust. I trust only certain family members and close friends. As for everyone else, no trust from me. It has to be earn’t and not automatically given, same thing with respect.
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” That used to be my philosophy. Unless I had a reason to doubt you, I accepted you for who you appeared to be. Times change and things happen. Now I’m a lot more conservative (to put it nicely) with the trust.
