But even if they understood, it wouldn’t make a difference. The damage is done.
They want to know what’s wrong. When I tell them, they don’t get it.
They offer concern, but it is really just curiosity and discomfort. I don’t know how to fake it.

You are right, they don’t get it. I am sorry you are going through hard times all by yourself. :-[ It s****. It is not fair. I have/ am going through this too.
My advice is to keep going though it to get through it. No matter how long it takes you are too important to give up on. Again, I speak from my own experience of being alone, afraid, no one to reach out to. EVER.
They don’t get it. You do. Help yourself the best you can- reaching here, reaching to crisis lines and TELLING them what you need to. Tell them you need to vent, please listen. It does help me and I hope it will help you.
