Some will say nothing, some will say heaven/hell, reincarnation.
What would happen if you die by suicide?
A man told me once, that if it isn’t your time, and you are rejected from heaven, but your body is unable to have your soul back (exsanguinated or something), you will stuck between the membrane of the earth and heaven.
I don’t believe in heaven.
What do you believe?

I believe there is a spiritual realm which some call ‘heaven’. Nirvana, afterlife or other terms are also used to describe this realm.
I think the soul aspect of ‘me’ (and everyone) is always alive and will never die. Our physical body dies but our soul lives forever.
Our brains allow our self consciousness and it’s a common belief that everything goes to black so I believe when you die everything slowly fades to black and when you’re brain is finally dead or rotted away there is nothing but black
So do you think that we live in that black after death or it is just over black?
I personally believe that we just cease to exist eased completely when it goes black
That’s my opinion too.
I agree with you
I’m a nihilist, I honestly don’t believe anything happens after we die, but after reading up on religions and theories about what happens when we die I’d like to believe in reincarnation. That one would seem like the most interesting anyways.
I read a theory once on reddit, basically it was that we are all one singular soul, and we get reincarnated as every single person on Earth until basically we become God. That one was pretty trippy to think about. Everyone you know, everyone you love, everyone you hate are all you, just in a different life.
Yes, interesting, but how would reincarnation give an explanation to the growing population? I mean, imagine 500 souls reincarnated over and over again, that means 500 person living in the same time, but what if there is more than 500 person, 501 for eg. A new soul comes to life? Or, what if there is 499 person around, a soul dies? Is there a soul queue? Reincarnation has it’s gaps in it’s story I think..
Episcopalian Christian here. I’m hoping heaven has lots of cactus for me to enjoy, Hill country for me to hike and chickens to pet. The sun in my face and the shore a block away. And someone to love me for who I am. That would pretty much sum up heaven. I’m hoping it will be like that.
I hope it would be like that for you. Do you really believe in heaven?
absolutely. and everyone is invited. No matter the sin. Free pass for all. You are free to share my chickens and beach with me.
Nah, house held chicken meat is too sour for me, I like the estrogen injected ones. Could you ask for some estrogen injected ones too? May be you could run a small chicken factory where you could grow only estrogen injected chicken breasts for me.
It is heaven after all, your every wish will be provided to you, estrogen injected chicken breast included.
Too bad I don’t believe in it. For me, I hope it will be nothing after death. Nothing at all. No life, no memories, no carrying on, just nothing. Like when you finish a pen. The writing will stay on the papers (memories of me), but nobody will ever use that pen again.
“After your death you will become what you were before your birth”. – Schopenhauer
Do you have any memories of a ‘before-life’? If not, why would you believe you’ll have an after-life?
No man goes before his time – unless the boss leaves early. -Groucho Marx
It would be nice if we could all have our own personal island in the afterlife. The water would be warm, the waves tasty, and we could frolic on the beach & in the water for all of eternity.
There would be no weeping or gnashing of teeth.

I don’t think anyone knows what happens after death. If you’ve never died before, and there is no credible evidence to support whatever theories people may hold, then there’s no way of knowing. There’s no shortage of theories, beliefs and strongly held convictions though.
There are plenty of near-death-experience stories out there, but those people didn’t stay dead. They “came back”. Some people with NDE’s report seeing nothing, while others claim to have seen a light or having an out-of-body experience. Were these people hallucinating or did something metaphysical actually happen?
I think that many human beings are terrified of dying. Maybe it’s because of the uncertainty of what happens next, or they just don’t like the idea of permanently ceasing to exist.
Some people look forward to death because they believe they’ll be going to a better place. I had an uncle who died a few years ago, his lung had collapsed and he knew he had maybe a week left to live. I visited him while he was lying in his death bed. He was unbelievably calm. I asked him “how can you be so relaxed? You’re going to be dead in about a week”. He smiled and said “I’ll be home with The Lord this week”. He truly believed that. I was amazed by how calm he was, and how “matter of fact” he was when he made that statement.
Whether he was right or wrong almost seems irrelevant. He had his faith, and his beliefs gave him strength. Ignorance is bliss? Who knows.
NDEs may be nothing more than hallucinations of a brain in trouble, the product of a chemical known as DMT.
Heaven and hell aren’t real places, they are states of mind that one is in before one crosses over. They are of our own making.
God and Satan were sitting in heaven. Throwing back a few bottles of wine. Both of them were a little bit rung. Satan looks up and says why do you love those humans so much? Out of all the creatures in the universe you gave them the ability to make life. Create a soul. Satan says that’s not so hard. Watch. He leans down and grabs a handful of dirt. God giggles. Kicks him off his cloud and says get your own dirt
it is depressing as all fuck reading this thread.
…it’s exactly as South Park describe it… hahahaha
The soul is like consciousness and death is like sleep. Once death overcomes us there is no perception of passage of time and next thing we would see will be the Day of Judgment.
On that Day, when the real truth will become apparent to every one, those who disbelieved will be regretful and full of remorse. They would wish that they had never existed; but then, there would be no room for a second chance on the Day of judgment.
And on The Day when the Hour arrives the guilty will swear that they remained (dead) but for an hour, thus they were ever deceived. But to those to whom knowledge andfaith are given will say: “The truth is that you have remained (dead) until the Day of Resurrection By Allah ‘s decree. This is the Day of Resurrection, But you used not to know.
