the plague

It’s like the plague,                                           eventually it will consume us,                        some people survive,                                          while the rest of us die in misery,               people avoid us,                                                    thinking they will catch it,                             from day one we’ve had a target on our heads,                                                                        they will watch us suffer,                                   and watch us burn,                                              but when we’re gone they won’t have to decode our pleads for death,                          as they already granted it,                                     and helped light the fire that consumes us,                                                                                                  one by one
