Hi beaubri and Cordless.
There are some antidepressants which are used off label to treat insomnia. Mirtazapine and Agomelatine come to mind, the latter of which works by regulation circadian rhythm.
Please keep in mind that all drugs have potential side effects. It’s often a case of weighing the potential risk against the perceived benefit.
Disclaimer; having a good doctor in the picture with in depth knowledge specific to these type of medications is crucial. Not just some random person on the internet. 🙂
I never sleep through the night, ever. My mind keeps me up and I eventually doze for a few hours, get up for a few more hours then maybe sleep 2-3 hours solidly. This is my routine most days. When I work double shifts it messes me up even more. So used to not sleeping.

All the time!
I can have insomnia for 2-3 days (as in, not sleep at all), then can be asleep for 16 hours after that, then the whole thing starts all over again.
Once in awhile I have a sleep-pattern somewhat approximating normalcy, but it never lasts for very long.
Cordless; I struggled with insomnia for four years, it’s rough. Have you tried anything to help?
I haven’t found anything that works reliably.
It’s almost four in the morning here, and I’m still awake.

Wintergirl; I’m sorry to hear that you struggle with that.
