Why do people say it’s selfish to end your own life?
What’s so selfish about ending your own suffering?
Why do people make your suicide mission about them?
Why is it always “You don’t want to be remembered like that, do you”?
Do you know the constant battle that’s going on inside my head?
Do you know that self harm is the only thing that makes me feel in control of my life?
Are you there every night when I cry myself to sleep?
Do you understand it’s a miracle I’m not already dead?

are these questions that you want to ask your family?
Some of them. Some of them also came to me after my father took his own life. Everyone was very hush hush about what actually happened.. They didn’t want to “ruin” the memory of him..
that’s awful
these questions are powerful. The people that love you probably couldn’t answer them truthfully without using the words “afraid” or “scared” or “scary”
Why do people say it’s selfish to end your own life?
because it’s scary, and we try to make sense of what we fear
What’s so selfish about ending your own suffering?
it’s scary
Do you know the constant battle that’s going on inside my head?
no, but I know that it scares me
and so on
1) the consensus I believe is that suicide is selfish because you put your feelings ahead of others.
2) The idea is by ending your suffering, you’re causing others to begin suffering.
3) Most people can’t grasp the idea without being personally involved.
4) Most likely a guilt trip, brought about by a failure to come up with a better reasoning.
5) I familiar with internal conflict, but I haven’t listened in on yours. So I’m vaguely aware but not privy to specific details.
6) That’s a common sentiment I hear. I’m sorry for you.
7) Yeah, I’m pretty much always here. Counter question: Can you imagine being unable to cry?
8) I do understand that. Everyone has a miracle story. I think once you begin taunting death, you see a beautiful ugliness in that miracle.
I ask my self the same questions
