This thread isn’t to share methods or doses or recommendations. I’m only posting what I day dream about. Although if and when I do it I won’t be this elaborate,…..
Scenario 1: spend the time and money to get a Comercial sky divers license and go to dubai where they have a trendy place to base jump (video on YouTube) and jump with a chute but take the harness off in mid air.
Scenario 2: this is borrowed from the movie “four feathers”, travel to a shit hole country like Iran, Syria ect and find insurgents to kill untill they hunt me down and I go out in a gun fight
Scenario 3: replicate the world record sky dive where the guy went up in a balloon but instead of jumping,… just keep going as far as i can obviously need 2-3 methods to end it because dying due to space exposure or thirst or that shit would really suck,…. I’m thinking a pipe bomb or 10 would be a good back up to a .9mm and pills
Scenario 4: from that will Smith 7lbs movie,… do it and call 911 to have organs harvested. Although I don’t think it’s possible to pick who gets your organs, just doing it in a way to ensure your body can still be used. (Gotta ensure brain death so they can’t save you so a .9mm again) or maybe a do not resuscitate order)

I like the first scenario. I’d like to go out like that. It would be intense and fast death I would think
I like your 1st scenario too. Free falling surrounded by all those super tall futuristic buildings sounds cool. A good chance of not surviving…awesome!
(Scenario 2) “find insurgents to kill untill they hunt me down and I go out in a gun fight”
… or they capture you alive and if you’re LUCKY, they either stone you to death or behead you. God forbid they decide to torture you alive.
Scenario 3 – “replicate the world record sky dive where the guy went up in a balloon but instead of jumping,… just keep going as far as i can obviously need 2-3 methods to end it because dying due to space exposure or thirst or that shit would really suck”
I don’t mean to be insulting/condescending here, but aren’t you a nurse/EMT ?
I assume you’d know that going that high up (actually, any higher than about 15,000 ft) would result in hypoxia (lack of Oxygen in the brain). You’d start feeling light-headed and pass out within seconds. The higher up you go, the faster this would occur.
If you went up in “space”, all you’d have to do is take off your breathing apparatus, and you’d be dead before you could say, “I’m dead”. Or, just don’t take any breathing apparatus with you.
Party pooper 😀
:d 😀
Einsamkeit,
Like I said these are just day dreams, like what “normal” people daydream about what to do if they won the lotto. I thought maybe others here did the same. I don’t think they would catch me,… it’s more likely a team (cia or special forces) would catch me first. If you know about Berghdal, he got “caught” because he went to them on purpose. Insurgents arnt smart enough to to run capture operations.
Yes I know i would need a space suit,…. bringing O2 was part of it, would use diving gear. Just dying to exposure of space would be horrible I think.
Ok, cool.
Let’s agree to disagree about the insurgents or whether they would catch you 😛
About exposure to space/vacuum, I think I was saying that you would never get to “space”/vacuum because you would die long before you reached an almost total vacuum. Also, decompression would never be relevant, because a balloon ascends gradually. It would make breathing harder, but you wouldn’t explode or anything. The hypoxia would kill you long before decompression ever became an issue.
Just don’t take the pressurized suit or O2, and you wouldn’t even make it past about 20,000 ft (I don’t know exactly, and it depends on your rate of ascent). No question of going to “outer space”.
That’s why I was confused 🙂
… and I guess I forgot about hypothermia 😛
Dress like you’re on a beach in Jamaica. I wonder how far up you’d be able to go before hypothermia shuts your body down. That would be an interesting consideration.
But, personally, I’d still bet on hypoxia as a surefire and quick/painless way to go. You can count on the body’s need for Oxygen as much as you can count on anything else.
P.S. Sorry if I ruined the mood/theme of your post ! I seem to love playing devil’s advocate.
