It’s a good leading question. If you accept genetic view of life, it is clear that parental love isnt 100% unconditional. It’s not only about the mother’s love for the child, but also about the gene’s love for it’s progeny. Beyond this influence, any family can reduced to animals huddled into a shed and there’s no reason why one member can’t hold ill-will for another.

Yes, many do. The ability to sprout a child doesn’t mean they are good people, or that they suddenly become good people. Parents inflict their baggage on easy targets and that’s why society never improves. each generation passes their poison onto the next. break the cycle, don’t have kids.

I think some taunting is just an unskillful attempt to have some contact with the child.
