obviously yes, there’s nothing really great to bring to therapy in terms of topics. If you have something relevant then you might just spend the whole session processing it, which while convenient isn’t particularly helpful at scale
It’s the therapists job to ask questions, try and mine down to some of the reasons you feel depressed. He or she also might teach you some coping mechanisms, though in my experience these are rather limited….. I think in the twenty years I’ve been in therapy they’ve added one new coping mechanism
