You can’t even pull in to the drive-thru in Mc’Donalds without a junky panhandling. I was one car behind where you place the order and out of nowhere a junky appeared. “Any change for a hostel mate?” Said the junky. ” I wouldn’t give you the steam off my piss” I said. ” No need to be like that mate” said the junky. I decided to call his bluff. ” I’ll tell you what I’ll do, I’ll get you a cheeseburger” I said. ” to tell you the truth mate, I could use a few quid instead” said the junky. I had to admire the mans honesty. Give every man the benefit of the doubt until proved otherwise, that would be my motto. ” you won’t get a cent out of me, you here all day?” I Said. ” yeah mate, we do it in shifts” said the junky. ” what do you make a day?” I said. ” about a ton” said the junky. “A ton, thats good money” I said. ” Not really mate, that has to be split 3 ways” said the junky. The voice came on for my order. ” okay thats me, there’s enough for a joint mate” I said whilst giving the junky a tiny bit of weed. ” fucking sound, thanks mate” said the junky.

That was nice of you 🙂
In my opinion most ppl are nice. When viewed through the prism of suicidality it can get into someones head that the whole world is out to get them, on the contrary there are a lot of good men/women out there.
I totally agree and spend a lot of time fighting that prism when all evidence points to the contrary (if people weren’t generally good, I would for sure be dead by now and problem solved!)
I like that “we all do it in shifts”
we sure do, we sure do
