I was watching T.V and a commercial for anti-depressants came on…..It said how it could help you…blah, blah, blah but then something made me think; the blatant irony ….” side affects may include nausea, vomiting or the increase of suicidal thoughts in children, young adults and adults”….Sooo this medicine has a risk to make people more suicidal than they are now….. but its supposed to work against depression? Its not guaranteed to work but it has a risk to fuck you up in the head even more? On what planet does this make sense? Hell, they might as well give you a gun with a single bullet and play Russian roulette

Lol those commercials always make me laugh. Here take this pill that MIGHT help with your depression, oh but it could cause brain damage, kidney failure, internal bleeding, heart attacks, strokes, or just end up just killing you anyway.
I will never take pharmaceutical drugs again. The big ****** companies are simply out to make a profit regardless of the harm their drugs may cause. They send salesman out and give doctors samples to give patients. The side effects during testing are often not reported. I’ve read quite a few reports that say that antidepressants may provide modest help for some, but in a large number are really no better than a placebo. I failed to research the side effects of an antibiotic I took earlier this year, and now I’m likely paying the price with a painful case of tendinitis.
Exactly! like what the fuck I would be so much better off not taking any meds at all. Then a few commercials later you see the lawyer commercial that goes…..”have you taken such and such medicine and suffered severe illnesses or death if so call 1800-wefuckdup”. Like half the time they aren’t sure the medicine is safe but I guess their view is hey if it makes a profit who gives a fuck.
The idea of commercials selling drugs that fuck you up more than you feel now… Just sick!!

I could never take any kind of man made drug (aside from street drugs I’ve tried in the past.). I’m so glad my parents were neglectful enough to not send me to a shrink. I’d be doomed.

One that truly works,and people swear by it is Lexapro,The only issue is insurance doesn’t cover it and it costs about 100 dollars :/
Of course it doesn’t cover it, why would they want you to take something that works? Why would they want to pay for it if it helps? lol
Lexapro? No way, I was on the highest dose of lexapro for eight weeks and it had absoloutly no effect on me… it did decrease my appetite which I was pretty happy about other than that it increased my suicidal thoughts and did nothing else for me.
Pretty much every drug carries side-effects, some of which are highly paradoxical. Weed relaxes people, but it sends my anxiety through the roof to the point of catatonia. That’s just how drugs in general work.
@RT30: Why would any patient want to pay for it if it doesn’t help? Lots of people take these drugs, and swear by them.
@Lorax: I’m just referring to the manipulative mind frame of big pharm and insurance companies. Are we talking about the same thing? Sorry..I’ve been self medicating! lol
Its a racket like every other industry. These people don’t even try to conceal it anymore.
