So a guy in my town killed himself recently. He spent his last days donating all of his stuff to goodwill. Cleaned his apartment top to bottom. Vaccumed, cleaned, sold his car. Layed out a tarp on the floor and wrapped himself in it. Left the key outside is apartment and called the cops. Then put a pillow over his head and shot himself. People couldn’t believe it but all I could think is what a great guy he was to think that much of others before he did it. Man I’m fucked up.

Interesting story, thanks for sharing. Not sure if I’d be so considerate myself.
That’s someone who is committed. But I mean, it makes sense. Get rid of all your stuff so changing your mind would have to be impossible. It’d be so much harder to change your mind and continue with literally nothing. And I couldn’t leave a mess either. I wouldn’t want to cause a big mess for someone who shouldn’t have to clean it up. Especially if I couldn’t give them money or a helping hand.
That’s very decent of him.
I think for quite a lot of people getting rid of their things is done partly as extra incentive.
I don’t think you are fucked up cause you thought that. It was my thought reading that too. Or maybe we are both fucked up :p
Wow, he was serious. I was married to a former cop who discovered the body of a shotgun to the head suicide.
Yeah That story certainly tells of a guy who was committed to end it. And he really thought everything through and carried it out to the last detail. I don’t think I would be so cautious about what I leave behind. For one I couldn’t end it buy a gun blast, I just don’t think I could. I would need a less violent way to do things…. and as I mentioned I don’t think I would be so concerned about my belongings and so forth that is left behind. I would just be so focused on the task I wouldn’t bother making arrangements for my stuff. I would leave that detail to the people who found them. Thanks for telling the story I have never heard of somebody ending their life quite that way.
A smile crept across my face. His plan is almost identical to mine.
