I decided that I wanted to draw something that was more or less in my style…. is a bit weird for me to use color, but I wanted to use those pens that I had for a long time…. didn’t worry about the color scheme or anything…. I think it looks okay…. This took me only like an hour and a half, which is actually fairly fast for a thing….

The colors are so pretty! I like how you gave it texture. How did you draw all those perfectly straight lines?
I used a ruler for the lines
This is quite cool and fun to look at. Love the hatching technique that you used.
I like it. Its abstract and its balanced. You did a good job balancing out the colors and composition and that is a cool way to go at it.
the repetative lines all going in the same direction takes a lot of patience to do and they are very soothing to look at.
good work.
keep it up > art therapy can be very relaxing.
keep posting your stuff I like it a lot.
yeah the hatching took forever -_- But it is the majority of what I do, and I haven’t done it for awhile (since most of the work I’ve been doing has been for class, and my professor told me to move out of my “comfort zone”) it felt really nice to do, I love just filling sheets with lines, it gives me a lot to do. I sort of want to do more painting though, as I’ve been finding that to be very relaxing too.
YES YES…. art can be very relaxing. I do a lot of drawing and also digital art as well.
I usually do big drawings on paper and then a photograph them with a digital camera and then load them into my computer and then from there i use a paint program to colorize them and some of them come out pretty good. But YES, I am firmly convinced that ART is really really good therapy. I believe when we make art > its a reflection of out inner selves to some degree and that it also is a release from all the stuff we deal with. So I firmly believe in Art therapy. Keep up on the artwork! and keep posting stuff too. I love to see creativity here at the SP forum.
thanks for sharing.
I couldn’t imagine doing large drawings…. 11×14 (that’s in inches) seems large enough for me -_- Although I am sort of tempted to try out some fairly large paintings…. Yeah I like creating art too, I technically always have been too…. I’m just now moving to trying my hand at visual art and a bit of music too :/
