Well at least he’s actually trying to help, talking to the suicidal ppl, listening, buying them a meal, etc instead of suicide nets and self righteous asshats who doing nothing but preach about not killing oneself but then doing NOTHING to help.
This guy even helps ppl find shelter. Like ppl who jump need REAL solutions to problems, not just a net/barrier/and a fuck you.
Like if someone were given $100 at a bridge, I am sure it’d help them more than 3d at a hospital that costs insurance and out of pocket $2000 (that’s how much the annual deductible is BEFORE insurance covers anything).
More than anything, suicidal ppl just want to be heard, listened to, taken seriously etc. and a solution to their problems. Nobody wants to die for no reason.
A $5 meal with a caring person who actually LISTENS is worth more than $10,000 in psychiatric or therapist costs. And those fucking costs ADD UP
Like WHY is therapy so damn expensive? AFTER insurance, it still costs like $20-40 copay. For a 45min session that yield NO RESULTS. On top of transportation. On top of therapists being crappy and useless af.
