All the time I see these extravagant programs for Veterans with PTSD, or any other ailment they might have…

What about regular people…there are more non-militants in America that suffer from mental illnesses. About 1 in 3 to 1 in 4 adults suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder or disease in a given year. This amounts to about 70-80 million people out there alone and helpless. According to records, about 8% of American citizens will develop PTSD sometime during their lives. In 2005, 1.77 million American males committed suicide. 450,000 American females committed suicide.

I don’t even know what to begin with here. I tried typing the first few lines so many times. UGH! Okay, let’s get this straight: this rant is not about people. It’s about me. I apologize if it sounds conceited but there are so many inferences made about the mental illnesses I have so I’m going to list them one at a time so you can understand them. I honestly don’t know how much more of this I can take.
Nobody wants me around anymore, or maybe they never wanted me around in the first place…
I fuck everything up.
Life is so painful.

Do you ever feel like maybe your purpose in life is truly to kill yourself? I honestly feel that way all the time. I trust God with all my heart and I believe that I have a purpose, but I also have this underlying feeling that my destiny is suicide.

I find it really hard to let go and say what I want on this site I guess because I don’t do it at all and if I do it’s once in a blue moon but right now my thoughts are racing and I want to speak freely.

If you want to manipulate your psychiatrist into giving you the medications you think are best, educate yourself with regard to mental illnesses and their medications. Always participate in your own healthcare with your doctor, if you can.

I am not a religious man but, I struggle with Anxiety, Depression, and many other mental illnesses that make me feel different and inferior. Depression makes me feel empty and no one can make me happy. I think about suicide all the time, I have suicidal visions and plans but never carry them out. Before I go to bed at night I think about how to commit suicide. I hate to say it but I’ve heard it from so many sources. Just be happy! Maybe there’s something horribly wrong with me but I can’t push myself to be happy. Today I went to my cousin’s open house. There was this little girl there, 6 years old, that I had never met before. She saw me giving the other kids “airplane” rides and wanted one as well. She waited in line multiple times, until I was too exasted to lift anyone else. Then she wouldn’t stop following me, so I started talking to her.
