I see life as a package of Starburst. I know… Strange, but bare with me. View the pieces as “moments” of your life, obviously you have pieces that you absolutely hate (for me that would be plum or whatever the nontraditional flavors are), and there are pieces that you love (again for me, that’s lemon or orange 🙂 ). Some peoples “package” (life) doesn’t come with alot of the pieces they like, and instead is just full of the crappy ones. Some of those people get angry at this fact or upset, others kind of just take it in stride and are happy that they even have a package to begin with. It doesn’t really matter what order you eat them in, whether it’s the good ones first or whatever, because eventually you’re stuck with the crappy ones, and in this scenario, you have to eat them all. I guess it would be like someone blindfolding you so you can’t see you’re pieces. Obviously you can’t pick and choose your moments, but you can either be upset that you just got abunch of bad ones in a row, or go with the flow in hopes that a good piece will come up eventually. Basically what I’m trying to say is, in the famous quote from the movie “The Crow”, “It can’t rain all the time.” But there is a huge difference between life and Starburst, you can actually make good things happen in your life! If you have the mindset that only bad things happen to you, then guess what, only bad things are going to happen. Stay positive, and spread love to everyone you meet, because they have to eat their bad pieces too.
Namaste.

“get busy living or get busy dying”
There is some logic in this, I like the outlook you have taken 🙂 Turned something as basic as sweets into a surprisingly fitting metaphor. I am gonna screen shot this post and remember what you have said.
