Yeah, I already do this. π
“for some reason. the music artist Eminem knows exactly what to say.”
Necessity and determination meets ability; the dude is a lyrical mastermind. I envy his linguistic acrobatics. His way with words is impressive.
But he’s more an exception than the rule. Most people cannot do what he does.
clevername, role models have nothing to prove. Eminem doesn’t need to prove that he’s better then everybody else, he just proves that there are possibilities.
But not everyone has his skill that could get them an amazing life, true.
Eminem’s one of the only reasons i’m still here at the moment. His music is what inspired me to start writing my own.
What amazes me about him is not just the story he tells, but the way he tells it.From the word plays all the way to the subliminal disses towards other rappers/other people,he manages to impress me with every song, including his new album, even though people aren’t that much fond of him anymore ever since Recovery, which I don’t understand why.I mean, imagine him at 40 something years old still dissing his mom. That would make him lose his rep and people would think he fell off.He matured, and so did his songs.Just listen to songs like Going Trough Changes,Talkin 2 Myself or Not afraid, you’ll see how much you can relate to those lyrics.
Also,I DARE anyone to go listen to Fack…protip:don’t,unless you are ready for some fucked up lyrics.Hint:there’s mentions of a gerbil and an ass, that’s all I’ll say.
Well apparently you missed my *last sentence*. “But not everyone has his skill that could get them an amazing life, true.”
No he did not *have* to do what he did. He could have led the life his mother and family before that did. If you haven’t seen eight mile, you should watch it. Of course he wanted to prove himself. He wanted what everybody wants: respect.
I was in no way comparing Eminem to anything or anybody. In fact, the one thing I hate is when people say ‘well this guy who came from nothing can do it, so so can you’. But in truth, we all have different resource packages. Yeah, Eminem had an ability that got him out of his poor life rut while some [most] of us do not.
He felt like he had to; whether he was physically prevented from any other option is beside the point.
I’ve definitely seen 8 mile, several times. My favorite part is probably everyone’s favorite part: the battle at the end. Gives no fucks and takes no prisoners, rocks the mic and wins.
There was a time in my life i had memorized and could recite most of my favorite eminem tracks. You could call me a fan.
Yeah that last part:
Fuck y’all if you doubt me
I’m a piece of fuckin’ white trash, I’ll say it proudly
And fuck this battle, I don’t wanna win, I’m outtie
Here, tell these people something they dont know about me
It’s a moment of silence and eyes glued to the screen. The other guy just walks away.
