As a child, he struggled mentally and emotionally as well as physically, but eventually came to terms with his disability and, at the age of seventeen, started his own non-profit organisation, Life Without Limbs. Vujicic presents motivational speeches worldwide which focus on life with a disability, hope and finding meaning in life. He also speaks about his belief that God can use any willing heart to do his work and that God is big enough to overcome any disability.”
Whenever I hear an australian accent, I get reminded of the game Far Cry 3, but I dunno how that dude would shoot anyone with an RPG. But it does seem a little like a backstory for an episode of House M.D. Still, he seems like a cool guy. If I had no arms or legs I’d like to think I’d make ridiculous jokes about it in public, too.
@Snowflake,
Whenever someone throws something like this at depressed people it only underlines that they don’t have a clue what depression is. Showing another person with challenges doesn’t cheer us up or make spring into action. We are well aware people exist with a different set of problems and different people have different soft spots.
Hating your life, self-loathing, feeling unlovable & etc. aren’t affected by this tactic. Never do this to a depressed loved one it will only create a giant gulf between you.
