I have a dilemma. A dilemma that makes me doubt my reasons for wanting to die sometimes.
1) I feel a certain fear towards actually going through with it. Which makes me feel like a coward. Does it make me one?
2) Some would say I (we) am a coward for thinking about suicide, for not standing up to life and it’s challenges.
Am I? Are we? Which one is it?

1 – On the contrary: It takes an enormous amount of courage (in which itself is borne of immense fear) to actually go through with the act of suicide. To enact something of your own accord is simply the greatest act that you can undertake.
2 – As above. Sheeple are scared of the unknown…the intense feelings of death we so desire as suicidal people. Only when they’ve walked in our shoes can they truly understand “what it’s like”.
Also: Whenever I read your name I think of that Prince song and always have to say out loud “Purple pain…PUUUURPLE RAAAAIN!” Lol sorry that’s random.
2- exactly, that’s what I say to myself. Not everybody can fully understand.
Okay, you made me laugh, that made my day! :DDDDDD (now I won’t even be able to type it without saying it.)
Oh Lawd… Auto correct kicked my arse again…ugh. PAAAAIN! not RAAAAIN!
No you are not a coward. I do not believe its cowardly for a person to want to die because some people are in situations they cant deal with.
If you are afraid of going through with it > that makes me wonder if you really want to go that way. Or perhaps you might not be sure about your ability to carry it out. In any case you need to really think things through so you don’t wind up in a really bad mess. I know of people who have come to a big mess in there uncertainty and their inability to carry it out properly.
Everybody fears of the unknown, even if it’s not suicide. If someone would tell you what comes after and it’s wonderful, you wouldn’t fear it that much, so how is it any different than not suciidal people fearing anything?. Guess i’m trying to say that nope, you are not a coward, just wanted it to sound different, haha. And you know, it is a choice without return, so it’s only natural to be afraid. Even people who are completely sure of going through with it might get scared at the last moment.
As for your second point, it’s easy to criticize someone if you haven’t lived what they have, so i usually ignore that statement when i hear it. Some people might find suicide to be a cowardly act, but they don’t see it from the point of view of the person who’s suffering. I do believe that is better trying to exhaust all your options before giving up, but the funniest thing is that it’s probable that a lot of people that calls you a coward has considered or even attempted suicide in the past and think that if they did, everyone can get out of it easily.
