I don’t think it’s right to pray for anything you wouldn’t be willing to do yourself. So if you’re not willing to kill yourself, it’s probably not right to pray for death.
That said, I don’t always do what’s right. Sorry, God.

i guess when someone wants to kill themselves, they are depressed and that makes their intelligence go down to a very low level and so they cant think of any lethal method to kill themselves and sometimes so they pray
Or they don’t want to make the decision. It’s easier for someone to take away the choice. You could be practically guilt free.
Agreed that it’s easier, but having someone else do your dirty work doesn’t make the work any less dirty.
My only excuse is that I don’t know for sure that it’s dirty work, but (I assume) God does. Since He won’t do dirty work, if He takes me up on it, I can assume, retroactively, that it wasn’t dirty work after all.
Or they have a fear of failing? Who would want to end up in a hospital for months? Who would want to end up being a vegetable? Who would want to end up paralyzed? Who would want to end up being incapacitated? Sometimes a person may not ever be able to attempt to kill themself again if the above happens
