Agreed, life can be fairly pointless-we have to find our own meaning in it. I’m on the whole fence about this myself…sometimes life punches me in the face and I want to end it, the next day it makes me feel great and pushes me to go on.
For instance I’ve had this on/off thing with this girl I’ve been crushing on. I thought last week it was done-I was sad, got over it, decided to move on, almost picked up someone new yesterday but wasn’t feeling too good about myself…but now that girl is into me again.
This time however I’m not going to play her game-I’m going to find out how she really feels about me. Well we both have an attraction to one another and I had a feeling she’d be back. I’m really looking forward to finally clearing the air and calling her out on her flirtations with me then backing off. Sorry I totally segued there.
But getting back to what you were saying-I couldn’t advise one way or another. Are you getting what you want out of life? No then there’s probably no point to go on….but if you’re finding some happiness or whatever it is you desire, then it’s worthwhile to continue. I find that 90% of life is bullshit-just garbage we have to do to survive…then the rest of it is what we live for, the fun/pleasure, discovery, travelling and so on.
About a year ago I was really close to ending it-felt I had nothing to live for, but then I realized I love women, some of them love me and they’re worth living for….I like men too, but that’s an aside. 😛
Only you know your own life best, and what’s right for you. I think I was at the point you’re at right now too (last year)…but by coincidence that girl came into my life and made me feel alive again. Though I’ve never told her I was suicidal.
Maybe if you also found someone special who makes you happy, it’d make you want to live? Perhaps you have a desire to help animals or people? Sometimes purpose can be found if you get it some thought.

Cause i’m gonna kill myself, hanging or blow my head with a revolver, just getting courage to do it, but i probably ain’t gonna be here next year…
I probably won’t be here either next year but I don’t know exactly how I’m going to do it yet.

I really don’t have anything that I want to keep living for. All I really want to do is kill myself, so I guess that’s what I should do.
