Does anyone know of any good chat rooms on the net where you can chat direct to people, rather than have to wait for replies as sometimes I could really use that instant chat. I’ve seen some pro-life sites for suicidal people but I don’t want the bible bashing types that just want to talk you out of doing it, not that I have made my final decision to do so yet, but still I don’t want to be influenced.
Also any places it would be possible to try to find people in my area as it would be nice to make a friend in person that feels the same way.
I tried posting an ad on my local classifieds site and it got deleted.

On ******, there’s a room called Crisis Chat. Some SP folks used to hang out there. I haven’t been there for a while.
Otherwise, there’s 7 Cups, but that’s more of a one-on-one chat with a volunteer.

There are lots of people on here that use IM in different ways. I don’t though, if any see this post I am sure they will offer. Many like to do skype like chat as well. Personally I find that awkward. Like really awkward. If the word Awkward had a child and it’s name was HDS it would feel sorry for how awkward it make me.

it’s only my opinion and my point of view , personally , as a shy person and all of the shit that adds to it , i wouldn’t like to be part of a chatroom , too many people , too many things to concentrate on , and so on , i think SP is great as it is now …
Although the communication is instant, I don’t prefer chatrooms. The dialogue is often shallow. And, unless you go into a private room, there are too many posters with too many topics of conversations to keep track of and concentrate on.
But I understand the desire to instant chat with like-minded souls. And to hopefully find a friend or two. It is hard to find those souls in mainstream society.
