I’ve known for quite awhile that my sister has been sexually active. Although it may not be my place I’ve tried to explain to her that she’s really much too young to being doing such. But, why listen to me right? But tonight I was pushed over board. The reason why is she just turned 14, but is now having sex with a 19 year old man. I confronted him today at a Shell, while not much happened other than a shoving match and getting in each other faces, some bystanders called police. Of course they just let us go as neither of us have warrants but that’s not the reason I’m upset. My sister then tells me she “absolutely hates me” and no long wishes to talk. I just wish she could see I’m trying to help her. But anyways, that rant is off my chest. Time to go snort some perc 30s as that seems like the only way I can cope anymore. Goodnight people ?

Have you told the police about this? Assuming you’re in the US, a 19 year old having sex with someone under 18 is a strictly illegal activity. Is your sister in a bad relationship with this man?
First off, I want to say sorry to everyone for the late replies. Haven’t had much motivaion to get out of bed and do anything, also slightly forgot I even posted about this situation. But, I haven’t told the police directly, instead talked to her social worker. (She is in foster care) They said they will “investigate” the home.
It is illegal, I agree with emptypluto. Even if it is a good relationship it is still against to law to have sex with a minor.
As for sniffing perks, just be sure you are in a safe place so when you nod you don’t light yourself on fire if you are a smoker. Plus stay hydrated. Even if it seems unimportant at the time, staying hydrated will keep your immune system in check.
Yes I’m aware it’s illegal. But I also don’t fully blame the guy (but if he was aware it is completely wrong) as I know she has frequently lied about her age. I don’t understand why she does this; especially as much as she tends to
RyanIsAbnormal, WOW! That is a situation, that guy could get in big trouble! and well your sister if she likes having sex i don’t think your going to stop her, i’d say if i was in your shoes try to understand that and help her to get on birth control. before something else happens.
Pregnancy is a huge worry of mine for her. As well as STD’s as the part of Ohio we live in has a very high STD rate compared to the rest of the country particularly among teens.

I hope so too. I only want to help her find her happiness whatever that may be. She just needs to stay safe while pursuing it.
Really all you can do is make you point that you do not approve, but that could push her away. In this case I think you have to be cruel to be kind, for her own sake. this guy is perverse and needs reporting.
I’ve tried many times to talk to her about how dangerous what she’s doing is, but she is a very stubborn child. She just refuses to take advice as she seems to think everyone is against her.
