They always talk about choosing the lesser of two evils, but what about the lesser of 5 evils? Addiction, obsession, self harm, isolation, suicide. There are so many choices in today’s world, and I am trying to learn to choose none of them.
Thanks me too. I want to have my life together inspiring other not living in some back alley homeless freezing my ass off all winter starving to death. It’s not that bad yet, but i’m starting to really realize that it will be if I don’t get my life together.
Saw your conversation about ibogaine wolf. You could also try lsd. You can get analogues over the web.
-jjust another tool that has the ability to isolate and bring to surface the roots of deep psychological disturbances while simultaneously clearing up the rest of one’s mind.
In other words, something that can set you up on the peak of that mountain for you to decide which side you will go back down on.
Wow, that actually sounds really powerful as well. It’s funny to me how our culture looks at drugs but especially hallucinogens. They paint this biased picture on them about how they are evil and maybe some people see that and believe it but as a free thinker I am simply intrigued. I’ve noticed the more something is hushed up the more I feel it may have potential, because what is commonly known (psych meds, therapy, modern medicine ect.) have not worked well for me and what is not commonly known (meditation, cannabis, ect) has seemed to me to be more effective. I guess it really depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go and fortunately or unfortunately my curiosity tells me to go all the way.
Makes me think of this quote. “There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance – that principle is contempt prior to investigation.”
I feel like with personalities like ours (obsessive,compulsion,impulsive,self-harming) it takes a destabilizing element to shake things up enough to engender change.
Of course the destabilization could also prove negative, but if you;re stuck in the same cycles, spiraling downward it may right your course.
Just my opinion based on me trying to fix my mind.
