Well you can be open just don’t tell anyone you are suicidal or they will sick hounds on you for fun and amusement. Make sure they aren’t asshole that will stalk you before you open to them.
Depends on what you want to open up about. If you tell a psychiatrist that your suicidal, the white coat fascists will be on you like stink on shit. They will force you to live against your will.
You gotta be careful about what you say and to who.
In my experience – opening up facilitates change,
closing off keeps you in running in circles. Do you want to make a change or continue to be where you are?

I say opening up is what is we should do, but for a lot of us, closing off is easier.
