Just went to see a psychologist yesterday. Complete waste of time! A horrible experience . It felt like an interrogation. He was asking me all these personal questions with no empathy, validation. No emotiobal response at all.
I cant believe this guy still has clients!!

I have had psychiatrists with more problems than I have…lol
From a personal experience a shrink created more problems for me. Cans of worms she opened made it all worse. I asked many times if I’m normal and her answer was no one is normal. So, define normal. Christ, I wish I had never seen her. Two years of digging out past garbage. Now, I’m worse than ever. My plan is in the works. Just need to figure out where. And, if I actually want to be found. I hope not. I’d like to just disappears from this crappy planet forever. Good luck with the shrink….but be careful because they can inflict more damaging wounds that don’t heal well.
Ugh. That sounds painful. Please please please keep searching. 🙂 They’re all so different a lot of the time. And just maybe he’s having burnout or is clinically depressed!
I can’t really imagine being able to cope as a clinical psychologist, day after day, trying to put yourself in the shoes of another person regardless of how you feel, with so much at stake of another person, especially if you’re a private psychologist and don’t really work with many other people.
But obviously we desperately need this help and it’s so important that it’s right as it can be life changing regardless of which way it goes.
Keep looking. Honestly.
If you don’t like your therapist, it’s not unreasonable. Find one that you do. Remember, they are working for you. Not the other way around.
Stop judging him,, I am sure he only wants best for you.
He can’t show emotion because he knows that will influence your responses…
He has his reasons why he acts as such.
Be more concerned about him wanting to help you,,,and don’t analyze him.
