My mom just passed away 3 days ago. I am fighting through the depression and you can too. My mom was a fighter and if there was an obstacle in her way she would find a way through it or around it. That is what we must do!
There’s nothing “wrong” with you, I promise. It sounds like you’re dealing with low-functioning depression, and when someone is low-functioning it can be close to impossible to practice self care of any kind. Depression also has a tendency to increase and decrease appetite,
If your therapist is telling you to “think positive” they should have their license taken away. That’s not how therapy should go. I highly suggest looking into seeing a therapist regularly. You can have an intake session (usually 30 mins long, free of charge) to essentially decide whether you are compatible with that therapist or not. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists

It seems to be the way of the world I guess. Im starting to think most of the worlds population at this point feels hopeless and depressed because thats where TPTB want us to be.

Have you considered talking to a counselor or therapist?
I don’t think they help. All they tell you is “think positive, blah blah”
